Bristani Bay A little planning. A better day.

Before visiting Bristani Bay on Karaburun: reaching it by boat from Vlorë, what to pack, how the weather shapes the stop and answers to common questions.

Getting to the bay

Bristani is reached by boat. Triton’s Secret Blue Cave & Grama Bay tour leaves from Vlorë and makes a short stop in the cove on its way along Karaburun’s western coast. Your booking confirmation gives the meeting point.

01

Pack for a day on the water

Bring swimwear, a towel, sun protection, drinking water and footwear suitable for getting on and off a boat. Confirm any included equipment with Triton.

02

Let the sea set the pace

Weather and sea conditions can affect the itinerary. The crew will advise on the day’s route and whether swimming or shore stops are suitable.

03

Travel lightly

Take your litter with you, respect the landscape and wildlife, and follow the crew’s instructions near caves, cliffs and old structures.

04

Check that the trip suits you

The current tour lists adults aged 18–85 and children aged 4–17. Contact Triton before booking if you have mobility needs, questions about suitability or are travelling with younger children.

Good to know

Is Bristani Bay the same as Bristan Bay?

Yes. Bristani Bay, Bristan Bay and the Albanian Gjiri i Bristanit are names for the same bay on the western coast of the Karaburun Peninsula near Vlorë, Albania.

How do you get to Bristani Bay?

By boat. The marine park’s 2014 management plan lists the western Karaburun beaches, Bristani among them, as having no road access. Triton stops here on the Secret Blue Cave & Grama Bay tour from Vlorë.

Can you swim at Bristani Bay?

Triton’s itinerary lists free time, swimming and snorkelling at this short stop of around 15 minutes. Whether the sea allows it is decided on the day by the guide.

What is near Bristani Bay?

On the mountainside nearby is Shpella e Dukgjonit, a karst cave protected as a natural monument. It is hard to reach and is not part of the boat tour.

Is this a trip only to this bay?

No. The available tour is the full Secret Blue Cave & Grama Bay itinerary from Vlorë, with several coastal stops including Dafina and Bristani.

Where does the boat leave from?

The trip departs from Vlorë. Use the meeting point and arrival instructions in your Triton booking confirmation; the office address is not a substitute for those instructions.

Can I pay on this website?

Choose your date and guests here, then continue to Triton for the final price, availability checks, payment and confirmation. A date selection alone does not reserve seats.

What if the weather changes?

The route and timings may change. Contact Triton about your departure and consult the cancellation terms linked below before booking.

Which languages does the crew speak?

The tour currently offers English, Albanian and Italian as guide languages. Website translations do not guarantee a guide in every website language.
